The date of service stratification and bypass list process we used for the CY 2007 OPPS combined with the packaging changes we are proposing in section II.A.4. of this proposed rule ; resulted in our being able to use some part of approximately 92 percent of the total claims that are eligible for use in the OPPS ratesetting and modeling for this proposed rule. In several neuropathology, lesion and neuroimaging studies, the amygdala has been suggested to play a role in social cognition deficits in autism. Investigation of human emotion has traditionally concentrated primarily on processes associated with viewing facial expressions. However, we have shown that in normal subjects, observing bodily expression of emotion activates a network very similar to that activated by face perception, including the amygdala. To test behavioral performance in body emotion recognition, we measured reaction time RT ; when subjects performed an alternative forced-choice 2AFC ; matching task of emotional or neutral bodies, upright or inverted. To determine whether there was an association between behavioral performance and microstructural alterations in the amygdala, we used diffusion tensor imaging to examine the difference in diffusion tensor fractional anisotropy FA ; between ASD and normal controls. In addition, we tested for a correlation between FA and RT in ASD. RESULTS: 1 ; Contrary to normal controls, no inversion effect was present in the ASD for bodies expressing emotion t 11 ; 2.0, p 0.3; however, like controls, inversion effect was obtained for bodies expressing neutral actions t 11 ; 3.4, p 0.01. Inversion effect is abnormal for emotional bodies in ASD 2 ; Significant differences p 0.05 ; in FA were observed bilaterally in the amygdala of the ASD subjects compared to the controls. 3 ; RT performance in the matching of emotional bodies was highly correlated with FA in the amygdala in ASD subjects. No correlation was found for the experiment where bodies were matched on neutral actions.
